About Us

Jack McVicar started his law office at the corner of Charlotte and Rubidge Streets in Peterborough over 40 years ago. Jack became well known for his approachability and his personable nature, characteristics that continue to influence our office and how we communicate with our clients to this day. Jack passed away in 2015 after practicing law for 39 years. With the help of local lawyers and a supportive community, Jack McVicar Law Office was able to continue operation as Jack McVicar Professional Corporation.

Nicholas Hill joined Jack McVicar Professional Corporation in 2018. Nicholas was born and raised in Peterborough and he attended Trent University before receiving his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto. Nicholas is proud to join an organization that has provided legal services to Peterborough residents for decades, and he hopes to do the same.
